What is it used for?
Factory or an Agent? Make sure that you are working with a factory and not an agent to ensure you can always contact the right people involved in the production process in case you need to.
Main or side manufacturer of your product? In most of the products some of the parts are manufactured with subcontractors; you must be sure that the factory you are checking is a main manufacturer of the product you are about to buy. Many times, we find out that the factory we are checking produces only 10% of the product’s parts. In this case the buyer can never control the quality, as the other 90% of the product haven’t been checked. We will document the factory’s main machines, so you could easily find out if this is a main manufacturer or a subcontractor.
Factory contact persons’ details – You must have more than one contact person in the factory you are working with. We will gather all the information you need so you’ll be able to contact your supplier for future orders in case of communication problems (contact persons’ business cards, web site, address, factory name, factory registration number, tax approval).
Standards and quality system procedures – We will check the working stations as well as the factory standards to understand it's status on quality control- does the factory have regulations for quality control, does it's standards meet international ones, how does it keep up control over the production stages, etc.
Loading and storage –We'll Check the loading area and finished goods storage area.
